Answers to the most common questions about honey, bee products and orders.

Why does honey crystallise?

Crystallisation is a natural process: over time the sugars in honey form crystals. Some honeys (such as rapeseed or spring honey) set within a few weeks, others stay liquid for a long time. Crystallised honey has not gone off and is not fake – it is a natural property of honey.

How do I make honey liquid again?

Place the jar in a warm water bath and warm it to no more than 40 °C, stirring now and then. Do not boil honey or heat it in a microwave – too much heat changes its taste and aroma.

How should I store honey?

  • Keep it tightly closed in a dry, dark place at 5–20 °C.
  • Honey absorbs moisture and smells, so always close the lid.
  • The best-before date is on the label.

Why do colour and taste differ?

The colour and taste of honey depend on the plants the bees visited, the season and the weather, so honey with the same name can differ slightly from year to year – that is natural.

How do I eat bee bread and pollen?

Eat them as they are, let them melt in your mouth, or stir them into yogurt or porridge (not into hot food). Start with a small amount. Bee products may cause allergic reactions – if you are allergic to pollen, ask your doctor first.

How should I store royal jelly?

Keep royal jelly frozen or refrigerated as stated on the package. Do not refreeze it after thawing.

Can small children eat honey?

Honey and products containing honey are not recommended for children under 1 year.

How do you pack the jars?

We pack jars in protective packaging. If a parcel arrives broken, send a photo and your order number to as soon as possible – we will replace the product or refund you.

Can I order gifts or a company order?

Yes. For larger quantities, gift sets or an invoice for your company, write to or call .
